IN-PERSON TUITION · PRIMARY TO A-LEVEL · BIRMINGHAM
We take the time to explain.
Whether your child needs help with schoolwork or is preparing for 11 Plus or GCSE, we work through difficult topics, explain the methods and give them time to ask questions and practise.
Tell us a little about your child. We'll get in touch to discuss how we can help.

INSIDE OUR 11 PLUS PROGRAMME
The workbooks we teach from
We use topic-specific workbooks, curated and compiled by Aristeia, to teach Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Pupils practise each method before moving on to mixed and timed papers.
How we teach

Tuition that works alongside school
Bring us the topics your child finds difficult. We explain the methods and work through examples together, giving them time to ask questions and practise alongside their schoolwork.

Find the gaps
We look at the topics and methods your child finds difficult.

We aim to keep tutor arrangements consistent so tutors get to know each pupil.
- 4
Keep parents involved
Lesson reports are sent directly to parents through WhatsApp.

Our team includes qualified teachers, early career teachers, trainees working towards QTS, and medical students.

Help with childcare costs
You may be able to get help with eligible childcare costs. Choose a guide to see who to contact and how to apply.
Eligibility and provider payment arrangements must be confirmed before booking.
Aristeia Academy is an Ofsted-registered childcare provider — URN 2661718. (opens in a new tab)
Universal Credit childcare support
Who it may help
Eligible working parents may get up to 85% of approved childcare costs back, within monthly limits.
For families receiving Universal Credit who need childcare to work or start work. Both partners normally need to work, unless an exception applies. Receiving Universal Credit alone does not establish entitlement to childcare support.
How to get started
- Check the childcare-cost rules through your Universal Credit account or work coach before relying on reimbursement.
- Ask us for the registration details and accurate invoices or receipts you need for the childcare provided.
- Report payments in your Universal Credit account as soon as you pay, within the assessment period of payment or the following one. Keep evidence of the dates, amount and payment.
Before you make arrangements
Childcare costs can be covered until 31 August after the child's 16th birthday.
You normally pay first and receive support after the childcare takes place.
If starting work or increasing hours makes upfront costs difficult, ask your work coach whether upfront help is available.
Tax-Free Childcare
Who it may help
For eligible working families: the government adds £2 for every £8 paid into a childcare account, within scheme limits.
Income, work and residency conditions apply. Support normally ends in September after a child's 11th birthday; qualifying disabled children can remain eligible until September after their 16th birthday. One of the main reasons for the childcare cost must be to enable work.
How to get started
- Check eligibility and whether this is compatible with any support you already receive.
- Before paying, ask us to confirm our current Tax-Free Childcare payment arrangements and provider listing.
- Apply through GOV.UK, pay into the approved account and pay your participating provider from it. Reconfirm eligibility every three months.
Before you make arrangements
You cannot receive Tax-Free Childcare alongside Universal Credit or childcare vouchers. Childcare bursaries/grants can also prevent eligibility. Do not stop an existing benefit or voucher arrangement without checking the consequences.
Childcare Grant for student parents
Who it may help
Eligible full-time higher-education students may receive up to 85% of eligible childcare costs, subject to household-income and weekly limits.
For eligible student parents resident in England with a child under 15, or under 17 with special educational needs. Student-finance and course rules apply. This is a grant alongside student finance, not a loan offered by Aristeia or a grant for the child's tuition fees as such.
How to get started
- Check eligibility through Student Finance England and apply for Childcare Grant with your student-finance application. Follow the current GOV.UK route for your course start date.
- Provide the requested evidence and, if approved, set up the Childcare Grant Payment Service account you are invited to use.
- Confirm provider participation with us. Approve valid childcare payment requests through that service and pay any remaining balance as agreed.
Before you make arrangements
The provider is paid through the Childcare Grant Payment Service. You cannot use the grant for upfront deposits or approve payments before your own course starts.
The grant cannot be combined with UC's childcare element, Tax-Free Childcare or NHS childcare help under the published eligibility rules.
It normally does not need repaying, except overpayments or changed circumstances.
College, training and bursary support
Who it may help
Your college, university or training provider may have childcare funding or a hardship fund.
Your age, course and circumstances determine which support may be available through your own education provider.
How to get started
- Contact student support at your own college, university or training provider.
- Ask which childcare grant, learner-support fund or bursary applies to your course and age, and whether your proposed childcare can be funded.
- Obtain approval and agree the provider/payment arrangements before booking on the assumption that fees will be covered.
Before you make arrangements
Funding and payment arrangements need approval before you rely on support. Give financial evidence to the relevant funding body, not this website.
School-arranged support (pupil premium)
Who it may help
Ask the school about support it can arrange. Pupil premium is school funding—not a payment or voucher parents can claim.
Schools can use pupil premium for targeted support, including one-to-one or small-group tuition. Schools decide how to spend the funding according to their pupils' needs and the funding rules; it is not a personal pot for each child.
How to get started
- Speak to your child's teacher, pupil-premium lead, SENCO or school office about the areas where they need help.
- Ask what funded support is available and whether external tuition would be considered.
- Any external arrangement must be agreed with the school and provider in advance. Do not assume a school will reimburse lessons you have booked yourself.
A question you could ask
“Could we discuss what funded learning support is available for my child, and whether external tuition would be appropriate?”
Before you make arrangements
Free school meals do not always establish pupil-premium eligibility. Ask the school to check its records.
Existing childcare vouchers
Who it may help
Already in an employer childcare-voucher scheme? Ask whether you can use your existing vouchers for eligible childcare.
These schemes are closed to new applicants. Some people who joined by 4 October 2018 can continue under the scheme's rules.
How to get started
- Check your existing scheme with your employer or voucher company.
- Ask us to confirm whether we accept that provider and how the payment should be referenced.
- Follow the scheme's payment instructions and keep records.
Before you make arrangements
Childcare vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare cannot be received together. Check before changing an existing scheme; do not assume you can rejoin.
